RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This was a strong performance (better than my original notes suggested) by the 2000 Talbot. Close to full maturity, it exhibits a dense ruby/plum/purple color in addition to a subtle herbaceousness intermixed with smoked meats, black currants, licorice, cedar, and foresty notes. Rich and full-bodied with light tannins, and a slightly richer, more savory, broader, deeper style than I remember, it should drink well for 10-15 years.
To my surprise, the in the bottle tastings revealed a supple, open-knit, surprisingly accessible and open-styled wine...admirable richness, a layered texture, sweet tannin, and abundant quantities of smoky cassis, licorice, herb, earth, and leather c... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2000 Talbot 750ml
A dependable and popular 4th Growth, Chateau Talbot relies on 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Merlot, with the balance divided between Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Vines are kept at an average of 35 years of age. Grapes are sorted twice - in the vineyard and then on a table in the cellar - and fermented in either wood vats or stainless tanks. Connetable, the 'second' wine of the chateau, is the product of younger vines and is matured in one-fifth new oak. The 2000 Connetable offers a ripe, warm aroma with subtle and enticing hints of development (leather and tobacco) together with a ripe, plump palate backed by ripe acidity. The aftertaste is already expressive with an inky note that adds interest. Drink now or cellar to 2012-2014. Delicious value in an excellent year.
To my surprise the in the bottle tastings revealed a supple open-knit surprisingly accessible and open-styled wine...admirable richness a layered texture sweet tannin and abundant quantities of smoky cassis licorice herb earth and leather characteristics. With complex aromatics and splendid richness it admirably blends power with elegance... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
