A pinnacle in super-hedonistic sweet white wine. Light gold in color, with majestic aromas of citrus-blossom honey, apricot, saffron, pineapple, and a melange of other tropical fruits. Superb length and depth, with plenty of acid to keep it fresh despite its weight. Sinfully delicious dessert wine.
A perfect sweet wine, best drunk chilled on a summers day
The 1988 reveals a textbook, light gold color with a slight greenish hue. Although it does not display the weight of the 1990 or 1989, it has better acidity, high alcohol, and considerable sweetness. It is somewhat disjointed, needing time to knit together. It is impressive if its components are evaluated separately, but it is less noteworthy when reviewed from an overall perspective.
This looks to be a good Suduiraut. A medium golden color, with a very honeyed, rich, floral bouquet, this full-bodied wine is not as profound as the other 1983s. Sweet, with fine honeyed flavors, this is an elegant, graceful Suduiraut with plenty of character. However, given the vintage, I had expected even more.

92% semillon 8% sauvignon blanc. Aged in 50% new oak. A beautiful vibrant gold color this was one of the darker Sauternes of the tasting. Notes of citrus fresh vanilla bean and light pretty floral notes make up the bouquet. This shows a full rich mouthfeel yet it remains lithe and elegant. The Chateau Suduiraut has a comparatively rich botrytized bouquet with dried honey pineapple and a touch of Seville orange marmalade with exquisite definition and focus. The palate is well-balanced with a viscous texture and a good level of botrytis demonstrating fine minerality and tautness. Dried mango quince and spice all interlace the focused finish which is long in the mouth. Tasted against its peers this has a higher level of intensity and focus. A superb follow-up to the sensation
