“The Chateau Suduiraut has a comparatively rich, botrytized bouquet with dried honey, pineapple and a touch of Seville orange marmalade, with exquisite definition and focus. The palate is well-balanced, with a viscous texture and a good level of botrytis, demonstrating fine minerality and tautness. Dried mango, quince and spice all interlace the focused finish, which is long in the mouth. Tasted against its peers, this has a higher level of intensity and focus. The terroir of Sauternes covering 2,200 hectares, lies forty kilometres from Bordeaux between the left bank of the Garonne and the forests of the Landes. The appellation Sauternes covers the communes of Sauternes, Bommes, Fargues, Preignac and Barsac.

92% semillon 8% sauvignon blanc. Aged in 50% new oak. A beautiful vibrant gold color this was one of the darker Sauternes of the tasting. Notes of citrus fresh vanilla bean and light pretty floral notes make up the bouquet. This shows a full rich mouthfeel yet it remains lithe and elegant. It shows slightly darker notes on entry with dried apricot candied ginger and a firm spicy finish. Château Suduiraut is a perfect example of 18th century architecture: noble, stately, and full of light. The château is surrounded by magnificent gardens designed by Le Nôtre, which make the estate even more attractive. The soil is composed of sandy-clay and gravel. Suduiraut is located in the commune of Preignac in the heart of the Ciron valley. The Château's privileged position fosters, from the month of September onwards, the growth of botrytis cinerea (the famous ônoble rotö) on the grapes. These are picked one by one in several waves. After the grapes have been pressed, the must is fermented in oak barrels for 18 to 24 months before bottling
