My first Gewürztraminer! Smells like a riesling, pear and apricot! Refreshing like champagne, has a little of the bubbliness, nice acidity giving it the crispness. Calming and smooth with notes of dried apricot, lychees (which I love!) and a certain mild spice (cannot figure out what..). It has a certain mild bitterness at the end. Medium dry finish and a nice coating in your mouth! I had it with grilled juicy Salmon and it was great!

A popular style, fruity and forward, with the emphasis on citrus, grapefruit and apricot, rather than floral qualities. Sweet fruit set against tangy acid makes it a versatile food wine too.
A pretty wine, with soft fruit and a light touch of pepper on the finish. Drink now.
Introduces itself with a perfumed aroma of spice and soft lemon. The flowery nose leads into classic flavors of citrus and lychee nuts, with an underlying core of appealing spice.
Fragrant, ripe lemon, peach blossom and honeysuckle aromas, crisp peach flavors, and a spicy finish characteristic of the varietal.
Fragrant, with soft and pretty rose petal-accented orange and spice flavors, lingering gently. Drink now.
Rich in flavor, with a tangy balance to the lightly sweet grapefruit, rose petal and peppery spice aromas and flavors. Drink now through 2007.
Light and modestly endowed with varietal spice, but it has pretty rose petal notes on the off-dry palate. Drink now.
Food Pairings for Chateau Ste. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc Col Val United States Washington Columbia Valley White
My goal with the C-S-M White wasto showcase the layers of flavorthat the Chardonnay, SauvignonBlanc and Muscat (hence theacronym CSM) lend to this wine.Chardonnay adds viscosity andtexture and Sauvignon Blancgives it a beautiful peachy andherb character. The addition of1% Muscat provides a floral perfumeand touch of minerality on thepalate. This would be an excellentwine to pair with your favoritesalmon dishes.
