Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling Columbia Valley 2007
2008 vintage - Perfumed floral notes over grass leads to light spritz, sweet, oily (full) with intense peach & apple flavors that linger in the finish.
I am a regular guy not a wine snob, but I've been drinking Chateau Ste. Michelle wines since the winery first was founded. But you must not know much about the area of NW Oregon. It is not the Columbia Valley but the Willamette Valley (Pronounced Will Am Met, not Will A Mette.) Excellent wine. I highly recommend it.
lemon/floral scent almost spritzy tangy/sweet with a warm finish
Four and a half glasses

14 Hands Riesling features the fresh spring aromas of apple blossom and tangerine with a hint of wet stone. Flavors of fresh garden peaches and Granny Smith apples fill the palette with a racing acidity and a juicy and lively finish. This Riesling would pair great with a spicy Asian dish, or even before dinner.
This Riesling consistently delivers classic Washington state Riesling character of juicy peach apricot ripe pear melon with subtle mineral notes.
Here’s a delicious Riesling that shows the richness this grape can achieve in ideal growing conditions. Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Indian Wells vineyard is on the warm side of the Cascade Mountains in Washington’s Columbia Valley. This wine is made from those grape and grapes from nearby vineyards also on the mountain slopes. Direct sunlight, limited rainfall and low vigor translates to good ripeness and complex flavors. Wine & Spirits magazine scored this wine 90 points and said “This Riesling has a warm-weather feel to it, with peach blossom and pear scents. It’s plenty ripe, but balanced, a pure shot of pear juice that lasts with a savory leesy note. Ideal for Thai curry.”
