Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling 2012
Our Columbia Valley Riesling is a blend of Riesling from throughout Washington's Columbia Valley. We craft it to be a refreshing, off-dry Riesling vintage after vintage. The wine delivers sweet lime and peach character with subtle mineral notes. This is our "any day Riesling" that is a pleasure to drink and easy to match with a variety of foods.
Somewhat simple riesling. There's a bit of green apple and subtle petrol on the nose. The palate is more (jolly rancher) green apple. There is a touch of sweetness on the mid-palate that is nicely balanced against low to medium acidity. Pretty good QPR for this mid-week quaff.
Fruity on the nose. Tart with a sweet finish. Nice turkey wine. My guests finished it first.

A refreshing, off-dry Riesling delivering sweet lime and peach character with subtle mineral notes.
Scents of pineapple and lime, accented by a mild spritz, give way to a focused sweetness of fruit on the palate, and a modest phenolic bite that calls for a pairing with cumin spiced pork.
Nice, sweet juicy white fruits: pink lady apples, doughnut peaches and bright nectarines. A nice acidity to help round out the sweetness. Try it with spicier fare, like vegetarian curry or chicken wings.
A silky white, with a crisp balance to the lemon meringue and lavender flavors, echoing appealingly on the finish. Drink now through 2015.
With residual sugar measuring 17 g/L, this puts the emphasis on fruit flavors that are forward, round, ripe and slightly sweet. It’s right down the heart of the plate in terms of Washington styles; apple and peach the main flavors.
