blackberries, some currants, smoky. smooth and simple and easily enjoyable by the masses.
Nose is mossy and earthy with the funk of old world style wine. On the palate, stringent red berry fruit with flinty mineral tones. It's a tad stemmy and possessing big tannins. Reasonably good but very dry and woody. Time should help. 85 pts. 8/12/11 at Winery

Balanced & smooth.
Not bad, but I expected more from a (regularly priced) $30 bottle of cab.
External Reviews for Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon Canoe Ridge
Also beautifully complex and slightly more focused, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Canoe Ridge Estate is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance a mix of Merlot, Syrah and Malbec. Coming from vines planted in 1991 and located in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, close to the Columbia River, it delivers notions of red and black fruits, spice box, flowers and background herbs along with a medium-bodied, richly textured mouthfeel that carries solid depth and ripe tannin. More forward and approachable than the Cold Creek Vineyard, it should drink nicely over the coming 4–5 years. Drink now–2018.
Supple and distinctive, with meaty overtones to the core of rich currant and coffee flavors, lingering on the polished finish. Drink now through 2018.
The Canoe Ridge Estate Cab is a beautifully balanced wine that offers a classic, fresh expression of Horse Heaven Hills fruit. The wine offers black current flavors, hints of sage and elegant tannins.
The Vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate was planted in 1991 by our vineyard manager Mimi Nye and the Canoe Ridge Estate winery was built in 1993 to accommodate our growing world-class red wine portfolio.
Supple, ripe and generous, with a black pepper note weaving harmoniously through the focused black cherry and toast flavors that push through fine tannins on the refined finish. Drink now through 2016.
Chateau Ste Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 Canoe Ridge and all other wine from Chateau Ste Michelle are readily available to ship at discount prices. We carry many premium wine from across the world.
The Canoe Ridge Estate Cabernet delivers black cherry fruit aromas and flavors with leather notes and dusty tannins on the finish.
