Lots of bright acidity really balances this slightly sulfurous medium bodies dessert wine. The aromas are of peach and in the mouth this wine displays lots of backbone and a very nice finish.

A complex, decadent wine produced from hand selected clusters with 75-85% botrytis affected grapes; akin to a German Beerenauslese; all from the Horse Heaven Vineyard where grapes were left on the vines until early November to achieve super ripeness and noble rot. This succulent dessert wine shows intense aromas of apricot, honey and jasmine spice. Layers of apricot and white peach flavors are wonderfully balanced with natural acidity and a luscious finish. Steve Tanzer rated it 91 points and said “Bright, pale gold with a green tinge. Slightly high-toned, musky aromas of honeycomb, caraway seed and mace. Fat, thick and very sweet, but with good acidity framing the very rich flavors of ripe peach, caraway seed and honey. In an ideal world, this would have more complexity and acidity, but this sweet bomb is dense and delicious.” Limited.
