What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Peach, pear and pineapple fill the nose of this Chardonnay. On the palate the wine is creamy and round with luscious flavors of lemon and pear that harmonize with notes of vanilla bean and spice. The wine has bright acidity and long, lingering finish.

The 2003 Sonoma County Chardonnay offers aromas of pear and citrus with a hint of smoke. Flavors of white peach from the AlexanderValley, pear from the RussianRiverValley and citrus from the Carneros region blend harmoniously and transition to flavors of crème brûlée and cinnamon spice on the mid palate. The long, complex finish offers layers of honeycomb and spice as the lingering flavors of pear stay to the end.
