Chateau Souverain Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel(2002)

The north end of Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley is the setting for the 45-acre Faloni Vineyard, where Zinfandel vines thrive. The Faloni Vineyard produces a heady Zin with bright juicy cherry, boysenberry, cranberry and spice aromas. Flavors include jammy blackberry, vanilla, black licorice and black tea notes followed by a hint of brown baking spice. The long finish is exceptionally pleasing. Enjoy as a quaffer or pair with hearty cheeses and meats.

The hands-down tasting favorite, with medium- to full-bodied ripe berry fruit - blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, they're all there - and rosemary, baking spices and fresh black pepper mingling nicely from start to lingering finish. Picks up toasty, vanilla oak at the end. Ready to drink now and over the next two or three years.
