Barnyard on the nose and starts out that way, its medium bodied and has notes of black cherry. There's some very well integrated tannins and its got a nice finish with some secondary aromas: saddle leather and cigar box.

Smack-your-lips good! We enjoyed it so much we decided to skip the appetizers and just savor the wine. Not too heavy, not too light. Just a great balance of flavors ranging from fruit to cocoa. Want more!

One can t say enough about this winery, which may still fly under the radar of most consumers. The fully mature 2000 displays gorgeous aromas of camphor, lead pencil shavings, unsmoked tobacco, plums, and black currants. With full body, a velvety texture, and beautiful weight, richness, and length, this superb wine should evolve, possibly improve for another 15 years. It s a beauty!
