User Reviews for Château Sénéjac Red Bordeaux Blend Haut-Médoc
Add your reviewdecanted 3 hours, very little sediment. lightly smoky bramble fruit, wet pine and blueberries on the nose, medium body, ripe black cherries, earth and chocolate on the palette with elegant, long-lasting finish of cherry and orange peel with subtle hints of oak and smoke. Very delicious wine and the tannins would smooth out beautifully in the next few years.
External Reviews for Château Sénéjac Red Bordeaux Blend Haut-Médoc
An attractive, reasonably priced offering, the 2005 Senejac exhibits subtle aromas of roasted herbs interwoven with scents of cedar, fruitcake, black currants, and cherries. Medium-bodied and slightly tannic, it will provide savory drinking over the next 10-12 years.
There's lots of grapey character, with blackberry and hints of smoky oak. Full-bodied, with lovely soft tannins and a long, caressing finish. Best after 2011. 10,000 cases made

Winemaker's Notes:
Yet another excellent 2005, proving what a fabulously consistent vintage thisis in Bordeaux. Typical southern Haut-Médoc Claret, quite perfumed withsoft black fruit and cassis characteristics followed by good structure andconcentration on the palate with tannins in abundance but so ripe that they arenot at all intrusive. It is perfect with roast lamb or partridge, and also withhard cheese. Do give it plenty of air if drinking now. (Alun Griffiths MW, BBR Wine Director)
