Chateau Seguin 2009

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

The best wine ever produced at this estate, the 2009, a 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot blend bursts with kirsch, black currants, camphor, and tobacco aromas and flavors. Very opulent, this seductive, lush, concentrated wine is a classic as well as a great sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 12–15 years. (Tasted once.)

This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot exhibits loads of sweet kirsch and licorice notes as well as loamy soil undertones. It is velvety-textured, with plenty of glycerin, a heady mouthfeel and a long finish. It is a sleeper of the vintage and best drunk over the next decade.
