This is one of the reliable favorites from Candocirc;tes de Blaye, the region on the right bank of the Gironde estuary around the pretty city of Blaye, opposite St.-Julien. Two red wines are produced: the Tradition. which is aged only in tank and the Vieilles Vignes, a smooth toasty wine aged in wood, with black currant fruit flavors.

Old World in style, with earthy spice and rustic saddle leather aromas. Quite concentrated and powerful with extracted black cherry, currant and wild berry flavors. Full-bodied, dry and muscular.
