What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

Winemakers Notes

The magical combination of sun, soil and water--the "terrior" of Washington state's world class growing reguion makes it the North American home of premium Riesling. We strive for the classic expression of this variety, with peach, ripe apricot and citrus flavors. A long, cool fermentation preserves the crispness of our wine. Always refreshing. Always a crowd-pleaser.

This is our ripe, tropical style of Riesling, which comesfrom the warm Wahluke Slope region of eastern Washington. The 2006 Indian Wells Riesling exhibits fruit-driven aromasof juicy pineapple and mango. The wine is rich and unctuous, while maintaining a fresh, elegant style that is typical ofWashington state Riesling. - Bob Bertheau, Winemaker Food pairings: Crab, fresh fruit, poultry, mildcheeses, Asian dishes

Soft, delicate and appealing for its pretty pear and floral aromas and flavors, lingering on the off-dry finish. Drink now. 443,000 cases made.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine ReviewRated 90Smelling of green peach, lime, flowers and wet rocks, this exceptionally well made Riesling smacks in many ways of a fine Mosel Kabinett. Its slight sweetness is balanced by a fine streak of bright acids, and, like the best of its German cousins, it is at once both rich and fairly bright. It is a thoroughly enjoyable drink right now, but it has the structure to keep well and gain in complexity for a good many years.Wine Tasting NotesThis is the debut of our Indian Wells Riesling. 12% ABV. A little mineral and stone, with slight home perm and petrol in nose and a little spritz. Flavors of sea salt and grapefruit, with a slight metallic finish. Ver light color. More angular than a Moselle, and a little heavier on the palate. Definite WA state style. Very nice and one of the best examples of WA Riesling I've had.
