Château Sainte Barbe Merlot Lussac 2006

Member Review by cgb49:

Fairly mediocre merlot. Nothing bad, but nothing special, either. Could have universal appeal--great for hosting a party when you don't want to risk giving expensive wine to guests who may not appreciate it. Light body, fruit flavored with subtle spice undertones.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
