Add your reviewMost of the time, you buy wine that has been reviewed by a bunch of people on the internet - both professional and not. There was practically no information on the internet on this wine I bought from Whole Foods, and it really intrigued me as it would be like tasting blind, no pre-conceived notions. I nursed a bottle of the Saint Leon over 3 days, and it just got progressively better. Definitely something to drink ONLY if you have time to decanter. A bit nose challenged, but has a nose of faint raspberries. This has a nice balance of being fruity without being too sweet, and just the right amount of tannins. Those who like dry wine with tastes of red fruit will enjoy this. It had a silky smoothness to it, but lacked complexity. I had this with steak and it went well - as most bordeauxs will, no surprise there. However, I was surprised by how well it went with tiramisu! The tart cherry flavors of this wine complimented the espresso and chocolate tastes of the tiramisu. I usually like coffee with my dessert, but was too lazy to fix myself a cup, and continued sipping wine with my dessert. This was a great discovery!
