Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Wine Spectator: There's beautiful aromas of violet and other flowers, with fruity undertones. Full-bodied, with round, polished tannins that caress the palate. Long and very balanced. Harmonious. Best after 2012. (3/31/08)

Complex aromas of vanilla, crushed berry and spices. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Gorgeous already. Best ever from here? Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Rouget 750ml

This was a very successful vintage for Château Rouget. The wine shows a remarkable amount of ripeness on the nose, giving at once aromas of macerated red cherries and roasting meat. The palate is quite supple and the finish full of mouth-coating tannins that would make this bottle an apt match for your Sunday roast.
