User Reviews for Château Rollan de By Red Bordeaux Blend Médoc
Add your reviewDark ruby; on the nose there's blackcurrant, black cherry, tobacco, cedar, and hints of mint and barnyard. Medium bodied, medium+ acidity, and soft tannins. Red cherry, blackcurrant, and earthy notes on the palate. I suspect this is peaking, so glad we opened this up.
External Reviews for Château Rollan de By Red Bordeaux Blend Médoc
If you're a fan of Bordeaux, there's no doubt that this wine will tickle your palate. It's full of plush, juicy, dark-berried fruit thanks to the unusually high percentage of Merlot in the blend. This is atypical in the Médoc and the outcome is highly appreciated!
Winemaker's Notes:
Since 1989, Rollan de By has found its style. On one hand, the terroir allows it to obtain well-bred and subtle wines and on the other hand, the work carried out in the vineyard and on the wines takes place with the greatest respect for the practices of the Medoc. The grape varieties planted are dominated by Merlot, providing wines with a fat and rounded character and the meticulous ageing magnifies all of their complexity. Jean Guyon, surrounded with well-known consultants as Alain Raynaud, continues the work he star- ted when he bought this domain, in order to stay at the heart of the Bordeaux elite.
