Chateau Roland la Garde Cote de Blaye 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

This estate is a terrific new discovery for us. A blend of 88% Merlot and 12%Cabernet Sauvignon from 20-year-old vines, this biodynamic beauty is rich, elegant and voluptuous.Brimming with ripe redcurrants and black cherries with ahint of tar, this has a sophisticated, silky texture and a very fine length.

Dark in color. Slightly earthy and funky on the nose, but there's plenty of ripe fruit. Full-bodied, with soft, integrated tannins and a long, caressing finish. Balanced. Best after 2012.
