Château Rieussec Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend Sauternes 2007
This rightly popular wine from the owners of First Growth Lafite-Rothschild isas engaging and sumptuous as ever in 2007. The soft, dense, rich texture isclassic Rieussec while the level of sweetness is more balanced than in someprevious vintages. A rich, precise, apricot tart nose is followed by anincredibly concentrated, succulent, creamy palate with apple, caramel andoverripe peach, relatively low acidity and a long, intense finish. Thishedonistic Rieussec may be a smidgen behind their 2005 and 2001 in quality butit is nevertheless an immensely impressive effort.

Yellow green color. Fruity ripe and spicy nose. Smooth and very fruity on entry the wine develops quite fat and unctuous. The body flattens a bit in the finish. Jean-Marc Quarin - www.quarin.com
Balanced and very spicy, with almond paste and apricot. Full-bodied, medium sweet, with a long, fruity, tangy finish. Layered and stylish. Score range: 93-97 JS Wine Spectator. A Sauternes Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2007 Rieussec 750ml
Der Wein duftet nach Honig, weissen Blüten und Pfirsich. Frisch und zugleich üppig und vollmundig im Gaumen, wo seine komplexe Aromatik von einer Note von getrockneten Aprikosen dominiert wird.
Balanced and very spicy with almond paste and apricot. Full-bodied medium sweet with a long fruity tangy finish. Layered and stylish. Score range: 93-96 -JS Wine Spectator.
Bright pale yellow-gold. Aromas of very ripe peach honey and vanilla are a bit youthfully disjointed. Sweet supple and fat currently showing more spice than fruit. Finishes broad and spicy with a suggestion of minerality. 90-93 points Stephen Tanzers IWC.
Tasted single blind against its peers. The Rieussec 2007 has a subtle nose of dried honey pear a touch of quince and crushed stone on the nose the oak better integrated than last year. The palate is well-balanced with stem ginger and honeycomb on the entry. It is linear compared to its peers there is no flourish on the finish as yet but it has fine definition and hints of tangy marmalade and lemongrass that should become more accentuated with time. Tasted January 2011.-NM Robert Parkers Win
