Château Reynon Blanc 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Chateau Reynon Rouge has a deep color and subdued aromas with licorice black-currant and smoky nuances; the flavors are velvety, elegant and powerful. They have an exceptional style that privileges the freshness of the fruit concentrated by the "noble rot", strength, balance and subtlety of the flavors.

I enjoyed the depth of this 2003 wine and its warm and full bodied company, a bit musky with a tangy afterthought.

Made by the head of the faculty of the Bordeaux School of Oenology, Professor Denis Dubourdieu, the 2009 Reynon exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with beautiful notes of kirsch and flowers. Château Reynon is located in the heart of Cirons. This is a Merlot-based red that sees just a touch of oak. Drinks very well today with soft, dark berried fruits on the palate.

Cadillac is a tiny, sweet-wine appellation in Bordeaux. This is a youthful dessert wine with aromas of raw honey and honeysuckle flowers on the palate. Sweet but very properly balanced with acidity. You can enjoy this with a light chill. Excellent with choucoutre or country pâté.
