Nice earthy, blackberry-cassis nose with a hint of caramel and a strangely acetic note. Very Bordeaux, however. On the entry, the flavours are somewhat muted and one-dimensional with a moderately short, steely (mineral-rich) finish. The wine is fully mature with only a little residual tannin. Smooth, elegant; certainly not boring... au contraire, a very decent value... once a Parker favourite, in fact. 87 points.
Boring and earthy. Full-bodied. Dry and slightly astringent.
