Château Raymond-Lafon Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend Sauternes 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

The palate is well balanced with a citric entry, touches of apricot and lime,
tightly coiled towards the finish with the acidity slicing through the viscous
honey fruit with a touch of Tropicana. Again, this is a very focused, tensile
Sauternes with beguiling clarity.
(Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2010)

Very deep golden, with great tension and excitement and some green streaks,
with layers of botrytis over them. Full and deep with intense botrytis. Great
stuff! Unspittable, dried apricots (though so much richer than a Tokaji) and
great acidity.
(Jancis Robinson MW, jancisrobinson.com, Mar 2010)

The 2009 Raymond-Lafon is a delightfully young and fresh tasting Sauternes. Golden yellow is colour, youthful fragrance of stewing apricot jam and freshened up with a hint of lime. A lush sticky wine, very tight with vibrant acidity. Rich flavours of tropicana fruit punch. Drink now – 2030.

There is a little SO2 on the nose at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a citric entry, touches of apricot and lime, tightly coiled towards the finish with the acidity slicing through the viscous honey fruit with a touch of Tropicana. Again... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Sauternes Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Raymond-Lafon 375ml
