Chateau Rabaud was founded by a Marie Peyronne Rabaud in 1660 and became a Premier Cru Classe in the famous 1855 classification.In 1903 part of it was sold off to an Adrien Promis and the rest was called Chateau Siglas-Rabaud but in 1929 both parts were owned by the Ginestat Bordeaux Wine House but they eventually sold up in 1952 in order to finance their purchase of Chateau Margaux. Chateau Rabaud-Promis is now owned and run by Michele and Philippe Dejean and consists of 33 hectares. As well as the Grand Vin there are two second wines Domaine de L'Estremade and Chateau Bequet.
