Château Puy la Rose Red Bordeaux Blend Pauillac 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Chateau Puy La Rose is an affordable wine from the great Paulliac appellation -- home to the great growths of Latour, Lafite and Monton Rothschild. Puy La Rose is actually the neighbour of the wonderfully classed growth of Grand Puy Lacoste, and is not far from Mouton-Rothschild. The chateau has only 18 acres of vines and the harvest is hand. The wine is usually aged for around 18 months in barriques of which around 40% will be new. This is aromatic wine with notes red cherries and cedar. It is medium-bodied with a velvety texture and smooth tannins. We would suggest a robust steak or maybe a lamb dish.
