Chateau Puy Blanquet Futures Pre-Sale 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

“...offers up attractive Margaux-like floral notes. The palate is medium bodied with quite a supple entry, light in the mouth but well balanced with soft landing on the finish. This will be an enjoyable, early drinking Saint Emilion.” WA 4/12

deep notes of violet, slight licorice, and some hints of berries on the nose, but pretty restrained otherwise. Dry, slight minerality and tannins with a medium structure.

This is a wine that deserves to cellar for a few more years in order to reach its full potential. The black pepper and seared-steak flavours are strong, and will continue to blend and mature, hopefully balancing out the delicate black fruits of this vintage. The tannins are incredibly soft, creating a precarious balance with the acid. Overall, a wonderful wine that will be enjoyable for a long time to come.

Good medium ruby. Enticing floral aromas of raspberry, fresh red plum and sweet oak. Creamy-rich and silky, with good generosity to the red fruit flavors. Finishes with civilized tannins, a trace of warmth, and a lingering note of cassis. Not the las... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Puy-Blanquet 750ml

A very appealing nose of strawberry, cooked bing cherry and cranberry, with just a hint of mushroom. Berry fruit in the mouth with medium tannins. This is an excellent food wine that will pair with delicate flavors. Good for everyday drinking. Alex Shaw. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 Puy-Blanquet 375ml

This authentic St Emilion will match perfectly well with grilled meats and can also be served with game in sauce, especially duck. You can pour this wine with cheese as well. Red and deep in color, this wine is round with some supple tannins and lots of red fruit on the palate. This primarily Merlot wine will surprise you by its body, and its intensity and silkiness.
