Chateau Puech-Haut Rose Cuvee Prestige Coteaux de Languedoc 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

"A fabulous rose that’s perfect for hot summer day quaffing (I know, as I go through more than a case every year), the 2013 Coteaux du Languedoc Prestige Rose is a direct press of 70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault aged all in stainless steel vats. Very light pink in color, it gives up fresh, crisp aromas of rose petal, white peach and hints of melon in its medium-bodied, clean, elegant and hard-to-resist personality. Buy it by the case and enjoy it over the coming summer months...91" WA 02/14

Many of the grapes are sourced from older vines, some 60-75 years old, resulting in very concentrated and structured flavors. The fruit for the wines was originally sold to other winemakers, then Puech-Haut began producing wine under its own label starting in 1996. The “Cuvée Prestige” is its most successful release, from Syrah and Grenache, aged in concrete tanks (the Syrah spends a small amount of time in oak to give it some punctuation). Others include the “Bosc Negre,” which is made of 100% Mourvedre and the all-Grenache “Quercus.”  Read less

Don't blinkor this will be GONE!Simply stunning, this is so refreshing, vibrant and balanced.Completely dry, the tasty strawberry, melon and herbs are co-mingled and complex.Wish they would make more of this stuff.
