Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Attractive depth on the nose which reveals tobacco, briar and aromas of fruit that are a bit on the wild side. Showing big crushed berry fruit on entry, this is rich and plump with fine tannins. Polished, very civilized with a bit of power to it, though the finish is soft an elegant. Texturally this is quite appealing, and there is attractive depth of fruit, it just lacks a bit of detail in the mouth. 89pts

A little oaky on the nose, slightly jammy, wild red fruits over a very forest floor core – soft entry, good density of fruit, full of ripe tannins, giving the mid-palate a bit of a hard feel, a moderately long, slightly spicy finish, good balance (87-88)

Really nice and mellow molasses and deep ripe black fruit aromas and a hint of black olive waft off. An austere wine with dark chocolate, pine, well integrated oak, good acidity and structure, and a cocoa finish.

Wood, soft, smoke nose. Very soft and elegant with balanced red fruit. A soft elegant finish. Delightful!

This is a second wine of the forth growth Bordeaux Château Prieuré-Lichine (Classification of 1855). This is the first wine that I have had that I understood the aroma of "cat piss". Don't let this put you off though, this wine is very complex and enjoyable. My friend found this wine marked down twice at the amazing price of $14. I would happily pay $25-$30 for this if you can find it.

Promising plummy black cherry / currant nose. Taste: Blech. Either over the hill or corked (though the previous bottle was apparently the same). Medium+ tannins, medium acid and body. Possibly flawed, but more likely, just not very good. $27

This sexy, delicious effort is atypically fat, fleshy and opulent for a 2011. While the acidity is present, it is lower than in many Medocs. The wine displays lots of blue, red and black fruits intertwined with a floral note that provides additional ... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. 55% cabernet sauvignon 40% merlot and 5% petit verdot. Aged in 15% new oak for 18 months. The nose displays abundant chocolate with roast coffee and blackberry. Flavors of cinnamon and red cherry grace the surprisingly lush mid-palate. Great structure and integration here. Shows power but with superb freshness. A gorgeous wine! Alex Lallos.

Offers a core of blackberry and roasted plum in reserve, while slightly taut singed cedar, vanilla bean and espresso notes lead the way for now. Yet this leans on the toast rather than purity, with a cocoa note framing the finish. Should hang well en... Wine Spectator.
