Château Prieure Lichine Margaux Grand Cru Classé 2004
The vineyard which provides the grapes for the production of white wine was created in 1990 on a small 1.5 hectare plot in the commune of Arsac. Thanks to the vineyard's sandy-gravel soils over a subsoil of clay, the wine achieves amazing complexity. Its fatness and aromatic finesse are brought by an ageing on fine lees in Burgundy barrels that are renewed by one third each year.

Château Prieuré-Lichine is a Great Classified Growth located in the heart of Margaux appellation (Bordeaux area, France). With 173 acres of vineyards, the Château is producing three red wines and a white wine. The estate is offering guided tours and tastings on booking. It is also possible to purchase wine on the premises.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
This is a second wine of the forth growth Bordeaux Château Prieuré-Lichine (Classification of 1855). This is the first wine that I have had that I understood the aroma of "cat piss". Don't let this put you off though, this wine is very complex and enjoyable. My friend found this wine marked down twice at the amazing price of $14. I would happily pay $25-$30 for this if you can find it.
deep dark ruby, somewhat full-bodied. velvety berry nose, with floral and black tea on the back. somewhat rough tannins. just barely tart, a decently long finish.
Promising plummy black cherry / currant nose. Taste: Blech. Either over the hill or corked (though the previous bottle was apparently the same). Medium+ tannins, medium acid and body. Possibly flawed, but more likely, just not very good. $27
soft. medium body. good value. paired with peppercorn red wine sauce filet mignon.
good value for its price..
Really solid Margaux. Hitting its sweet spot. Red berries, soft tannins, nice complexity.
