Château Pourcieux Rosé Blend Côtes de Provence Rosé 2009

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

A crisp style, with crunchy red peach and Fuji apple notes that give this plenty of verve. Dried raspberry and melon flavors, with hints of anise, linger on the finish. Drink now.

Tart, fresh and a bit chunky and rustic, this blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% Cinsaut features bold lime notes, scouring acidity and hints of crushed stone. Drink now.

This wine has a garnet red robe with purple nuances. The beautiful intensity of the nose announces the flavours of cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry and suggests a hint of spices. On the palate, an elegant and already yielding tannin provides a good structure. The flavours of cherry and cassis are associated to a unique reminder of leather which one can perceive on the finale.

A gleaming and luminous pale pink coloured wine, with a subtle shade of lai chi fruit. First the nose announces notes of peach and apricot followed by raspberry, strawberry and an allusion to its mineral origins. Upon entry freshness is detected. Midpalate reveals the flavours of strawberry and raspberry. A subtler reminder of minerals gives an agreeable sensation of volume and duration on the finish.
