Château Poujeaux, known in the 16th century as "La Salle de Poujeaux", an outbuilding of the present Château Latour, was purchased by Mr Castaing in 1806, and subsequently divided into three in 1880. In 1921, François Theil bought one third. All the vintages as from 1957 were signed Jean Theil, who succeeded in reuniting the three châteaux into a single winery, as it was before 1880. Since 1981, the estate has been run by three of his sons, Philippe, Jean-Pierre and François Theil. In March 1997, the seven children created the Société Anonyme Jean THEIL. Over the last 15 years, the production area has been increased by 10 hectares. Considerable investments have been made for the cellars, with temperature control, ageing in new oak barrels, and increasingly stringent selection of the harvest, driven by a constant concern for quality. Wunderbarer, typischer Bordeaux! Kräftig, gut strukturiert, herrlich weiche Tannine. Super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Gefällt!

A superb value for Jean-Hubert Delon, the 2005 Potensac has a deep ruby purple color, a classic bouquet of sweet red and black fruits, as well as gorgeous texture and purity. Medium-bodied and concentrated, this wine behaves like a Medoc cru classe. Moreover, it will age very well for 10-15 years. Very impressive!

Barrel sample. This wine has fine tannins that are relatively soft, with good acidity and dryness. Its not powerful, but with its fine black currant flavor and ripe fruit it shows great style . R.V. Wine Enthusiast. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Potensac 750ml

This deep ruby/purple-tinged sleeper of the vintage exhibits fresh, lively minerality intermixed with delicate background wood, sweet raspberry fruit, medium to full body, zesty acidity, and ripe tannin. Usually the top wine from Moulis, Poujeaux's 2005 is again a fairly priced, impressive effort. Anticipated maturity:
