Château Pichon-Longueville Baron:
Chateau Pichon-Longueville is made from vines mainly situated on the historical terroir of the property. The wines produced are powerful, rich in tannins, and characterised for being both elegant and muscular. They have an exceptional length in the mouth, and possess a remarkable ageing potential.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Excellent, first of 6 bottles bought en-primeur for £15 from chateauonline, thought it may be a little early to open, but it was already drinking well, big dark berry flavours with enough tannin to expect it to improve for several years. Decanter magazine said in June 2003 "4* Highly recommended. Fine, firm dense colour, tight yet very good fruit on the palate, firm long fruit and finely grained tannins, excellent future 2008-20"

Good deep ruby-red. Sexy aromas of currant, minerals and gunpowder tea. Densely packed and minerally, with uncompromising dryness and a firm edge of acidity. Very old school and in need of bottle aging, yet this already has considerable sex appeal. Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2002 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild 750ml

A firm wine with cedar, coffee and berry character. Medium-bodied, with firm, silky tannins and a medium finish. Pretty. Best after 2008. 20,000 cases made. -JS Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2002 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild 750ml
