Château Pichon-Longueville Baron Red Bordeaux Blend Pauillac 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Les Tourelles de Longueville (the second wine of Ch. Pichon-Baron) has alwaysbeen, and always will be, a firm BB&R favourite. Why? Simple - this is theepitomy of good Claret at a sensible price. It has pedigree and gravitas but italso has charm and its own identity. There is no better vintage to experienceour favourite than the legendary 2005 vintage in which Les Tourelles deLongueville boasts a complexity above its status. Black cherries and mochahints are abundant, all supported by a structure that will facilitateimpressive ageing.

Another great budget wine. Very smooth finish. Definitely drinkable as a sipping wine

64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc. Opulent dark purple and violet. Incredible nose of sweet blackberries, cassis, spices, vanilla, and toasty new oak with subtle notes of espresso, chocolate and truffles. Beautiful mid palate and ... Mike Supple. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Pichon-Longueville Baron 3000ml
