This blend of Merlot and Cab Franc comes from a satellite region just to the north of St. Emilion proper. The Merlot dominates with ripe cherry and currant flavors in the fore, and attractive spice and earth elements to lend a certain sophistication. This one handles the concentration and tannins of a great vintage, without becomming clumsy.

This wine comes from a satellite region located just to the north of St. Emilion proper. Similar to the more famous region, this wine offers stylish flavors of spiced cherry and sweet tobacco.

Elegantly styled, with powdered cocoa and deep berry fruits wafting from the glass. The Picampeau reflects the intense concentration and layered complexity that made the 2005 vintage so legendary. Satin mouthfeel, well-integrated oak, and warm, inviting fruit flavors combine to create a world-class dinner red. Perfectly suited to pair with lamb, beef or grilled mushrooms.

Plum, black cherry and cool minty flavors dominate this delicious wine that is very much like the 2000 vintage that many customers still ask for.

Chateau Picampeau offers an oaked wine with red fruit flavours, delicate bouquet and a beautiful palate structure. Pleasant, aromatic and well-balanced.Its rich and fleshy nature of the is given mainly by Merlot while the Cabernet Sauvignon brings the smoothness and the strength.
