Renowned critic Robert Parker has called Chateau Petit Bocq a sleeper and “One of St. Estephe’s most hedonistic wines.” He’s urged that “Shrewd buyers should take note...” of this tiny Cru Bourgeois chateau as the quality to value ratio is tremendous. The 2005 scored 90 points and is their finest wine since 1982. This supple blend of 55% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc is aged 12 month in oak, 50% new. It has ripe fruit and elegant balance and is accessible young but has the structure for long aging as well. Extremely limited so grab it.
