Château Perenne Red Bordeaux Blend Côtes de Blaye 2006

Member Review by dynowine:

Tested from a preservation machine. Bottle said Grand Bordeaux and Cru Bourgeois. I was surprised at the unfavorable reviews in another location, perhaps the wine didn't express its right bank origins well to those folks, nonetheless here goes ... on its own has good balance and integration with lip smacking rich ripe neutral layered dark fruit (cassis, black cherry, blackberry), graphite or smoky mineral, licorice, sharp herb, peppery spice. Somewhat creamy with acid around the rim of the tongue and fuzzy tannins in the middle. Pleasant humming finish of the elements above. Drink now or wait, I liked it but tastes on the young side. Dry. Body medium plus, acid medium plus, tannin medium plus. 83% merlot, 17% cab sauv. 14.5% abv. Excellent QPR as tested, mid-teens USD.
