The Peby Faugeres comes from a sector of Faugeres of over 20 acres where the vines are 45 years of age on average. In 2009 the yields were only 18 hectoliters per hectare. Deep inky-ruby. Almost overripe aromas of blackberry, plum, vanilla and cedar. A spellbinding nose on this wine. It is so ripe and generous, with blueberries and hints of vanilla. Wild stuff. The creamy quality of the tannins in this young wine is phenomenal.
