Chateau Pape Clement Blanc Pessac 2012
"A blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, it exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color along with a beautifully sweet, graphite-scented nose with hints of black currants, Asian plum sauce, soy and forest floor. Impressively built with medium to full-bodied flavors, it has more layers than many wines from this vintage, an appealing density and a velvety texture...92-95" WA 4/13 "This is already a gorgeous wine with spices, berries, dark chocolate and walnuts. Full body, soft and silky. Beauty. Better than 2011...92-93" JS 4/13

Editorial Reviews for Chateau Pape Clement Blanc Pessac
Wood is a bit inelegant and obvious on the nose. A bit simple and sweetly toasty on the nose today with a green olive and dried herb underlay. A bit thin in the mouth with a bit too much wood tannin making this smooth and dry without much detail on the palate and hard and dry on the tannic finish. 84pts

The 2012 Pape Clement a profound blend of 45% Sauvignon Blanc 44% Semillon 5% Sauvignon Gris and the rest Muscadelle is once again a fabulous effort. Gorgeous notes of honeysuckle pineapple orange blossoms and mangoes soar from the glass of this full-bodied unctuously textured zesty well-delineated white Pessac-Leognan from a suburb of Bordeaux. Drink it over the next 15-20 years. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
