User Reviews for Château Palmer Margaux Bottle

Winemaker's Notes:

Berry Bros & Rudd review: The fortunes of Merlot on the Left Bank in 2003 are summed up in the cepage of
Palmer?s beautiful 2003 Grand Vin, which once again has far outperformed its
classification. In a normal year, it would contain up to 45% Merlot, but in
2003 it contains only 20%. The remainder is made up of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon
and a surprisingly high 12% Petit Verdot. A crisp redcurrant nose is followed
by a silky yet muscular palate, an immense concentration of fine red fruit
courtesy of the tiny yields, and of course the perfumed Margaux character that
no-one does better.
