- Much, much deeper colour than Alter Ego. Real savour and attack on the nose. Concentrated and lively, though the palate is surprisingly supple for such a young wine. Marked acidity to me - although I was told that acidity levels here were lower in 2001 than 2000. Gentle tannins. Suave, well mannered, but low key. Neat. 50 per cent of the crop went into this wine.
