Chateau Orisse du Casse Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2014

External Review by Great Wines Direct:

Aromas of blackberries, cassis, smoke, espresso, and new wood. Medium bodied, dense, ripe, and moderately structured. When the young Richard and Danielle Dubois took over the family vineyards in St-Emilion in 1985, they were guided by a single objective - maximum quality. To achieve this, a specific policy was put in place: rigorous yield control (their top wines are harvested at a meagre 10-12 hectolitres per hectare), accurate quality control in the vineyard, picking and vinification plot by plot, grape variety by grape variety, and a return to maturing in the very best French oak barrels.Grapes: 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet SauvignonRegion: France / Bordeaux / St Emilion Grand CruMaker: Richard and Danielle DuboisNotes: An opaque purple colour is accompanied by aromas of blackberries, cassis, smoke, espresso, and new wood. Medium bodied, dense, ripe, and moderately structured, this wine displays a purity of Merlot rich fruit character, with depth of flavour on the finish that we ve come to expect from this estate.Serve: At 16-18c with roasted or grilled beef dishesABV: 12.5%
