Superb buy, one of the best of the pre-revamp Nenin's. The vinyard was erratic for the last 30 years pre-buyout, but this was a winner. Dark, unctious, mysterious depth and complexity normally only seen in the 300+ quid a bottle set.
I have just openedthis bottle and waswonderfully impressed. The wine is in excellent condition and is everything a good pomerol should be. Smooth, long on the tongue with excellent afternotes. The colour is also suprisingly good for a 41 year old wine. Top class.

Somewhat muted bouquet, but the potential is there with a faint clay-... Neil Mechanic. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2011 Nenin 750ml

Chateau Nenin Pomerol Ce 2005 has an attractive, moderately dense nose of sweet blackberry fruit. There is some depth here. It has a sweet and creamy character on entry, and an appealing midpalate structure, with a lot of grip at the finish. There are enticing scents of tar, roses and fruit. Its an attractive sample with potential.
An outstanding red wine with complex structure, full body, mineral notes, and a long finish.
Not surprisingly given the ownership by the Delon family (who also own Las Cases), Nenin always has a Medoc structure super-imposed on the ripe Merlot (75% of the blend, with the balance Cabernet Franc). The strong 2005 exhibits notes of sweet black ... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Nenin 750ml
A fantastic Pomerol (Bordeaux) from the Delon family of Leoville Las Cases.
