User Reviews for Château Nenin Red Bordeaux Blend Pomerol

Winemaker's Notes:

This was an habitual Pomerol underachiever before it was rescued in 1997 by the talented hands of Ch. Léoville-Las Cases's Jean-Hubert Delon. A mere 31% of the total crop was deemed worthy of the Grand Vin in 2001, which was made from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. A deep, rich, smoky nose boasts intense blackberry fruit, while the classy, exotic palate exhibits a great weight of well-focused fruit perfectly in balance with well-judged oak, a character that many Pomerol and St Emilion estates have not managed in 2001. Jean-Hubert's hand in this wine is evident, and there are similarities between this and its illustrious sibling in St Julien. A glorious wine. Drink 2008-2022.
