For half a century, Serge Hochar has been making wines at Chateau Musar, that have become global icons for their ultra distinctive style. Musar Jeune is the new generation of Musar. Inspired by Serges’ famously vibrant and youthful approach to life, the Jeune (‘young’ in French) wines are made for drinking today. Young, fresh, vigorous, unfettered by oak these are wines bursting with classic Musar character. The Jeune wines consist of a white, rose, and red. All the wines are made from the grapes of young Bekaa Valley vineyards, about 1,000 metres above sea level, in accordance with the Hochar family’s philosophy of ‘natural’ winemaking. A red ruby colour with hues of violet. Nose of rich red fruits, berries, blueberries, cherries and strawberries. Fruit forward on the palate with dominate red fruits. The hints of strawberries, soft smooth tannins and a nice long velvety touch, full of spices fill the finish.
