Delicate, mature aromas and flavors of dried cherry, currant, plum and berry make for a sumptuous and supple red. The long finish is filled with clove and ginger, with hints of cola. The 2001 CHATEAU MUSAR, bottled in 2004, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan, aged for one year in French oak. Nuanced by cherries and spice, it is quite delicious. Vintage: 1998 03/25/2011

The first vintage of this wine came out in 1933. Aged in French Nevers oak, 1/3 of which was new. Delicate garnet color, and a shy nose, and with lively ripe fruit, reminescent of dusty berries, the 1998 Chateau Musar demonstrates quintessential elegance. Less obviously spicy, this vintage is dominated by Cinsault and certain to continue improving in the cellar. Certified Organic by IMC
