What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

"From Lebanon, the name Chateau Musar is synonymous with high quality Bordeaux style wines that age impeccably. The winemaker, Gaston Hochar, decided for 2000 that his crops were large enough to make the consumer’s dream: a second label. Second labelings are typically high quality wines made from some of the same vineyards and wines that don’t go into the more expensive blend. Comprised of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, and Cinsault, this is a beautifully approachable, excellent example of what amazing wines are coming from this area. "

Reviews

A younger wine than the Chateau Musar, aged 2 to 3 years before its release on the market. This wine is not aged in oak and is meant to be drunk young. It is mostly distributed on the English Market, but is enjoying a growing audience in several other European countries. The nose is aromatic, fragrant, warm and mellow and it prepares the palate for fruits of cherries, strawberries and redcurrants. The palate is indeed full of these softer summer red berry fruits and combined with soft tannins, the wine is very well balanced. The overall result is a wine of great elegance and finesse which is exceptionally delicious to drink now.

The most meaningful wine to come out of Lebanon. Here's a full-bodied, unique Bordeaux blend that does wonders for a London Broil.
