Château Mouton Rothschild Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Contrôlée Aile d'Argent 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

"A showy style, with tangerine, white peach and heather aromas and flavors backed by a waxy, but long and stylish finish. Stretches out nicely with air in the glass...90" WS 3/12 “Because of both time and space constraints, I am not able to provide tasting notes for the 2009 dry white Bordeaux, but it is an extremely strong vintage. Most châteaux equaled the dazzling quality of the 2007 dry whites. That said, the 2009s tend to be less classic than 2007, but more exotic, honeyed, and higher in alcohol, with compelling richness. The 2009s will probably have a shorter evolutionary curve, but these wines tend to last a long time, even in a vintage such as this. They are fascinating dry white wines…90-92” Robert Parker, the Wine Advocate 4/10

Château Mouton-rothschild:
Since 1933, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, located at Pauillac in the Médoc, has been motivated by a constant ambition: to make the world's finest wines, each in its own category, whether the châteaux wines for which it is responsible – the renowned Château Mouton Rothschild, a First Growth, and its distinguished lieutenants, Château Clerc Milon and Château d'Armailhac – or branded wines, like the famous Mouton Cadet.
