Chateau Mouton Rothschild Pauillac 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

98-99 points Michel Bettane & Thierry Desseauve (The World of Fine Wine): (82% CS, 16% M, 2% CF; 40hl/ha, 13.2% ABV). Admirable color, great, complex nose, with a hint of blackcurrant, majestic, but having preserved a tension and a freshness unique in Pauillac in this vintage, and a texture that is just as magical. A bit more Merlot (16%) than in the previous vintage, giving the mouth a more southern character, with a magnificent tannin, highly typical of Pauillac. It will be a great bottle in 25 to 30 years. (Issue 52; 2016)

Château Mouton-rothschild:
Since 1933, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, located at Pauillac in the Médoc, has been motivated by a constant ambition: to make the world's finest wines, each in its own category, whether the châteaux wines for which it is responsible – the renowned Château Mouton Rothschild, a First Growth, and its distinguished lieutenants, Château Clerc Milon and Château d'Armailhac – or branded wines, like the famous Mouton Cadet.
