Château Moulin St. Georges St Emilion Bottle 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

Berry Bros & Rudd review: Alain Vauthier produces only 2500 cases a year from this tiny estate located on the slopes opposite the illustrious and even smaller Ch. Ausone, which Vauthier also owns. A true gentleman, Alain Vauthier is delighted with his 2001 Moulin-St. Georges, and with good reason. The nose is bursting with sweet strawberries, raspberries and cream. Just like their 2000, this has high glycerol levels which bestows the wine with a seductive silky texture. Intensely concentrated, plump, racy fruit with mineral hints is balanced by crisp acidity and firm tannins. This is everything that great St Emilion should be. Bravo. Drink 2007-2018
